Crude Oil Cargo Transfer Pipe Replacement
Innovative Engineering and Maintenance expeditiously brought a crude oil super tanker back into service after it suffered a catastrophic failure of its main crude oil transfer pipes inside a crude oil tank.
The ship, with a length 1050 ft, was located in Long Beach Outer Anchorage and had a Cargo Tank Size of 140’ long x 80’ wide x 80’ deep.
All former pipes and pipe supports were removed from a window cut in the main deck. All required materials were acquired by IE&M, transported to the vessel and installed.
