Heavy Duty Chassis –
Bomb Carts
Innovative Engineering and Maintenance completely modified and restored six (6) used heavy duty chassis. IE&M spliced the mainframe and added steel extensions to lengthen the cart by 8 feet and air arked the side guide0s to add three (3) inches on each side. All welds meet AWS D1.1 MT Inspection.
IE&M also replaced the brake pads, air lines and chambers. Damaged sandshoes were removed and replaced. The chassis were then sandblasted and painted for a beautiful and clean finish, providing a premium product for half the price of a new purchase.
Each bomb cart’s final total weight was 12 tons! IE&M’s industrial facility is furnished to handle such large-scale jobs successfully. Our facility is conveniently located in the Port of Long Beach for rapid transportation. It’s equipped with 10-ton overhead bridge cranes, heavy lifting equipment and laydown yards.
Our team engineered a large-scale jig to streamline the process of assembling the frames and confirmed all dimensions with laser alignment to efficiently meet our customer’s requirements and deadlines with the highest level of workmanship and quality control.
